Check out these new pics of our Fiji Medboat.
It’s soon to be re-painted and branded as the brilliant little Medforce badass it is, but we wanted to show you a few pics in it’s “naked” form
We have kitted it out with a full expedition medical kit and we have been advised our Medboat will be better equipped than most rural clinics!
As a Medforce Volunteer on the Medboat, you’ll be living in our remote camp, based in Bures (large grass houses, with doors on each wall to let the cool breeze in). As well as being an amazing way to live…you’ll literally be right on the beach.
This Medboat will be used by our British Doctor and Medforce Elective students. As an elective student you’ll travel each day along the south side of Venua Levu, the second largest island in Fiji.
Our service will provide probably the only medical health care to these outer islands and remote coastlines.
We will also provide basic medical and health education and instruction on these visits to both adults and children as well as primary care.
The service has been approved by the Fijian National Health Service.
