The Local Eateries Are A Bit Strange

The adventure began with the 35 hour journey to Cuzco,  Peru. We then had a 10 hour wait in the freezing cold Peruvian weather worrying about all the shorts we had packed!

We spent the first couple of days bonding and exploring Cuzco, the highlight being learning how to salsa with the 5ft Peruvian men!

Then we spent our mornings learning Spanish in the San Blas Spanish School, with our awesome teacher Ricardo. Each day consisted of a different game to help us learn in a fun way. (Note to self: Take any rings off when playing Irish slam in Spanish!)

Our afternoons were filled with treks to help us prepare for Macchu Picchu. (Another note to self: Watch out for the local eateries, some of them are not all they have cracked up to be!)

This has been an awesome first week, now ready for Macchu Picchu! Bring it!
