A mix of adventure and calming relaxation has introduced the Bali gap year program for July 2016. Read all about it here.
Nusa Lembongan is a small chilled island in the south of Bali.
When you arrive you immediately feel that life there is all about the sea and everything that is related to it. It’s the perfect place for relaxing days.
You can either sunbathe at the white sand beaches, go for a swim in the crystal clear water, have some drinks in one of the beach bar’s, getting a massage or taking part in a yoga lesson.
For people who search for more action there is a lot to do especially water activities such as scuba diving, free diving, snorkeling, surfing and more… If you have time you can also take the opportunity to get your PADI at legend dive shop. Unfortunately I could not go for my PADI because of a cold but I still could go snorkeling.
Nusa Lembongan is famous for its manta rays and snorkeling with this majestic creatures was just mind blowing. A once in a lifetime experience! Besides manta rays you will see plenty of different fish and colorful corals. I also took the chance to go for a surf lesson. The young balinese surf instructor was really competent and showed us the basic moves and helped us to catch the waves. It was an amazing feeling riding the waves of the reef break.
After a day full of action it was nice to sit and calm down in the bean bags on the beach at the blue corner bar having some beers and drinks and chat with the new made friends.
Another good and recommendable way to calm down and relax is to practice yoga. I joined a sunrise yoga lesson and really enjoyed it. It was a good way to start a new day.
With that: Namaste! Find your inner peace in Nusa Lembongan! 🙂
