Coronavirus update for travellers

Many of you booked or planning to travel this year will no doubt have concerns about the Coronavirus and how it may affect your travel. The purpose of this letter is to update you on how Gapforce is responding to the situation.

First of all, as of today there is no impact on any of our planned trips. However, the safety of our customers and staff is and will remain our number one priority, and we are therefore monitoring the situation on a daily basis and following advice from authorities around the globe. We take advice from a number of sources including, but not limited to, The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), Public Health England, the US State department, local government sites in the countries we operate in, as well as hearing from our partner organisations on the situation on the ground.

Moving forward, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and follow the advice of the authorities. If the situation and travel advice changes to any of the destinations we are due to travel to then we will re-assess the situation and make alternative plans. If the FCO updates its advice to avoid all but essential travel to a particular region then we will not travel to that region, and if we are in said region when this advice is given then we will follow the authorities advice and initiate our emergency evacuation procedures. Gapforce leaders are highly trained in incident response and follow detailed risk assessments and emergency evacuation procedures for each of the locations we travel to. We also have 24/7 incident support for our teams on the ground in the event of an emergency.

We will continue to monitor the situation and update you of any changes, and in the meantime below is some general advice for travellers you may find helpful:
