South Africa Adventure

Join one of our groups on an exhilarating 4 week travel & volunteer adventure through the Rainbow Nation of South Africa. Famed for its rich abundance of wildlife and home to Cape Town and the Garden Route, your trip combines discovering this beautiful country with supporting local projects there.

Your adventure begins by exploring the iconic city of Cape Town before heading to small town of Oudtshoorn to work on an incredibly meaningful community volunteer project bringing some well needed joy to the lives of the local children there. Next you will take a road trip along the Garden Route with its amazing landscapes and plethora of optional adrenaline fuelled activities to try, ending at one of the largest Game Reserves in Africa where you will assist the local staff and get up close to the wildlife including the Big Five – Lion, Leopard, Rhinoceros, Elephant & Buffalo!

Highlights

  • Hike to the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town
  • Work with amazing children at Oudtshoorn community volunteer project
  • Explore the coastal National Parks along the Garden Route
  • Assist on the "BIG 5" volunteer project at one of the largest game reserves in South Africa

Cape Town - Your adventure starts in the Mother City – Cape Town. Meet your leaders and the rest of your group at the airport and get ready for an action-packed few days in one of the world’s most iconic destinations. Hike up to the top of Table Mountain for stunning views of the city, and travel down to Cape Peninsula to visit Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, and get to know the African penguins at Boulders beach!

Oudtshoorn Community Project - Next you will volunteer with underprivileged children at a daycare centre near Oudsthoorn. It is a humbling experience to listen to the stories of hardship and you will draw on all your resources to create a positive and lasting impact on the children who attend the centre – a truly memorable and life changing experience!

Road Trip along The Garden Route - Continuing east along the coast we pick up the picturesque Garden Route for an adventure filled road trip along the Western Cape. Passing through a multitude of beaches, valleys and national park, there are plenty of opportunities to stop and take part in a variety of optional activities – whale watching, snorkelling and scuba diving - as well as learning to surf in Jeffery's Bay or taking part in one of the highest bungee jumps in Nature's Valley. Arrival in Port Elizabeth offers plenty more to see, from the oceanarium and the beach, to the happening night life!

Wildlife Conservation at "Big 5" Game Reserve A once-in-a-lifetime chance to get behind-the-scenes and involved with the conservation efforts of one of the largest Game Reserves in South Africa! As a volunteer you will take part in a variety of long and short term projects to create sustainability for years to come.
