Your Nepal trip begins in Kathmandu

When you arrive into Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM), you will be met by your Gapforce leader who will accompany you for the duration of your trip in Nepal. You will be transferred to your hotel and upon arrival you will be given a safety briefing before dinner.
Full day tour of Kathmandu

After breakfast, embark on a full-day cultural tour of Kathmandu Valley. Discover Nepal’s rich history at Kathmandu Durbar Square, featuring ancient palaces and the Kumari Ghar. Visit Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and conclude at the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, witnessing rituals along the Bagmati River.
Journey to Bandipur

Depart Kathmandu in the morning and enjoy a scenic drive through the Himalayan foothills to the charming hilltop town of Bandipur. Spend the afternoon exploring its preserved Newari architecture, quiet streets, and a viewpoint with panoramic views of the Annapurna mountains. Later, receive a briefing on upcoming projects and their impact.
Bandipur – School painting project

After breakfast, take a short walk to a local government school to help with a painting project. Your efforts will contribute to restoring the school, creating a bright and engaging environment where local children can enjoy learning.
Bandipur – Local school engagement

After breakfast, engage with students and teachers through interactive activities like language exchange, creative games, or helping with English lessons. You may also assist with the school’s garden project. This hands-on experience offers meaningful cultural exchange and supports community-led education initiatives.
Bandipur – Hike to Siddha Cave

Today, embark on a scenic hike to Siddha Cave, one of Nepal’s most remarkable natural wonders. As the largest cave in the country and the second largest in South Asia, the hike takes a few hours and rewards you with stunning limestone formations and vast underground chambers to explore.
Bandipur – Traditional farming and Momo cooking class

Begin the day with a short walk to a local farm to learn about traditional vegetable farming techniques, offering insight into unique agricultural practices still alive today. Enjoy a picnic lunch made with fresh farm produce. In the afternoon, take part in a fun, interactive momo-making workshop to learn how to make Nepal’s famous dumplings.
Bandipur – Silk farm visit

After breakfast, visit a silk farm in Bandipur to learn how silk is traditionally produced, from silkworm to thread, surrounded by mulberry orchards. After the tour, enjoy a scenic drive to Pokhara, taking in the stunning views along the way.
Pokhara – Hike to Peace Stupa

After breakfast, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Phewa Lake, followed by a forest hike to the World Peace Stupa for stunning Himalayan views. Visit Gupteshwor Cave and Devi’s Falls, then after lunch explore Tibetan culture at the Refugee Camp and Nepal’s mountaineering history at the International Mountain Museum.
Chitwan Wilderness Safari

Start the day with a scenic drive to Chitwan National Park, famed for its beautiful landscapes and rich biodiversity. Enjoy a welcome drink and lunch before exploring a Tharu village, visiting the Elephant Breeding Centre, and watching a Tharu cultural dance performance.
Chitwan – Jungle activities

Begin with a peaceful canoe ride along the calm river, offering a unique view of the surrounding wilderness. Next, enjoy a guided jungle walk to discover the rich biodiversity and wildlife. After lunch, continue with an exciting jeep safari, spotting animals roaming freely in their natural habitat.
Journey back to Kathmandu

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenic countryside drive. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the afternoon resting or doing some final souvenir shopping before your farewell dinner.
Fly home from Kathmandu

After days packed with discovery, it’s time to journey home. As you make your way to the airport and reflect on all you’ve experienced – the challenges you embraced, the landscapes you explored, and the people you met – you’ll realise how much you’ve seen and achieved in a short time.
This trip will broaden horizons, strengthen skills, and offer a deeper connection to the world. Students return not only with memories, but with perspectives and experiences that will continue to shape their futures.
