We are recruiting for a new Program Advisor for our North American arm. Offering gap year, school trips and adventure travel to young people. The successful candidate should have a passion for travel, ability to inspire people and great communication skills, along with a desire to develop their career in a young fast growing company.
Gapforce is an overseas adventure travel company, with over twenty years’ experience. British Royal Family, US TV Celebrities and over 10,000 pupils have travelled with us. We are now looking to grow to the next stage.
We have a vast range of programmes to offer to individuals or groups either on their gap year, during long holiday periods or to do something amazing and different after graduation. We have projects in a range of countries including Bahamas, Costa Rica and South America. Uniquely we have our own UK staff based in these locations, to ensure safety and a high quality experience.
Over recent years, Gapforce has experienced a high level of growth and we can only ensure that this growth pattern continues by having the right people working for us, visiting schools and acting as front-line representatives for the company.
About the role
On a day-to-day basis, the role would consist primarily of generating sales through both 'cold' and 'warm' calling to schools and also following up on customer enquiries.
You will use your public speaking skills to give talks and presentations at schools and colleges .The third part of your role will be liaising with teachers. Helping them create and set up overseas school group adventure trips.
Are you outgoing love to talk and have done some travelling yourself? We are looking for someone with the following skills:
- Excellent communication with both pupils and teachers
- Confident and outgoing
- Great presentation skills although we will train you
- Sales experience would be highly beneficial
- A people person
- Passionate about travel
- Be willing to travel around the US alone visiting schools and colleges
We have two positions:
- Intern: If you have no experience: We have an intern position leading to full time employment.
- Full time: If you already have successful sales experience we have a salaried position, which combines with on target bonus and overseas program visits. Please advise which role you are applying for.
You will be working remotely from the U.S. and reporting to our Head Office in London. You will receive on-the-job training from our outgoing US Sales Advisor, with further training at our UK Head Office available within your first 3 months subject to performance. Due to the travel involved in the role, a full driving licence would be beneficial, we will discuss this further during our informal meeting.
