Medforce began as one of the original names in medical electives and healthcare volunteering. From humble roots our medical training and overseas medical schools soon grew into Gapforce and our array of gap year programs, volunteering projects, outdoor training courses and school group expeditions.

Today, the Medforce legacy lives on, and has grown to become part of our central vision at Gapforce - providing high-quality and unique training programs designed to give individuals the skills and experience necessary to thrive in their chosen field. Our outdoor training courses are life changing adventures, and the skills, qualifications, and experience gained on them open a whole range of new and exciting opportunities in many different fields.

Our Expedition Medicine Course continues to draw on over 25 years of experience to deliver a renowned and intensive training experience; perfect for paramedics, expedition leaders and those looking to gain field experience in expedition medicine. Set in the remote tropical jungles of Costa Rica, you will be trained and supervised by our industry-leading medical instructors, as well as local search and rescue operatives and indigenous survival experts. Comprehensive and challenging, gain valuable hard and soft skills, putting them to the test in a variety of challenging environments, from deep jungle to lightless caves.
